Thank you for your support at the Tallmadge, Ohio (Agathon Kennel Club) last weekend. Weren't the jammies FUN to put on the little ones?

We promise to have more coats, jammies, and mats for the Crown Classic at the IX Center on December 14th to 18th! Oh, and belly bands, too! As usual, we will have limited edition, reasonably-priced neckwear. Last year we featured metallic bling "ruffs", and this year... Well, you love "ruffs", so don't be surprised if we do a variation on a theme and have something along that line!

Remember, print and present the blog post from November 21, 2011 and you will receive 20% off your entire order (over $30) at this year's Crown Classic shows!

Let me extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you out there who help animals. Taking in a stray kitten, housing a stray dog until the owner can come forward, giving to shelters and rescue groups, providing straw to a neighbor's dog, feeding the birds, volunteering to groom or walk pound dogs, saying doggie prayers--these are but a fraction of the ways you have helped make life easier for the animals this winter. It is appreciated!

Winter blues...and greens...and pinks...and reds!

How do we ward off the winter blues? We sew! Coming later this winter and into the spring are cute little jammies (4 legged), great fleece jacket (2 legged) and our re-invention: snuggle sacks! Since all of our products are not listed on the website, please email or call for details.

90% of products sold through Pammer's Petwear are handcrafted in Ohio and neighboring states. Occasionally a manufactured product meets our standards, and we will sell it, passing the savings on to you. We are also resolved to offer high quality products at reasonable prices. Thanks again for all the support, feedback, business, and friendship you have shared with Pammer's Petwear. Without loyal customers, we would not exist.

2010 is the year of reinvention for us. Many products will be "resurrected", improved and offered at shows and on-line. We hope to re-vamp our website early this year, also. So stay tuned.

It is my personal goal to be more diligent in blogging this year. So please stay tuned for specials, musings, and dog-related information.

Unbelievable--a year has passed so quickly!

We are approaching 2011 in a few weeks. Wow--where has the time gone?

I have been blessed with good health, good family, and safe trips to the shows as well as a warm home in which to continue to make items for Pammer's Petwear. My customers have been loyal and fun, and this is truly a unique business to be in during this part of my life. I am very thankful.

May you all have wonderful holidays this year and a prosperous New Year. Whether it is Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanza, it is my hope that you have peaceful, reflective times with family and friends.

Summer's waning...September is here!

Wow, dog-lovin' folks--it's September already! This is our favorite time of year at Pammer's Petwear. The dog days of summer make the livin' easy. Dog and pet events are popping up everywhere! And we are busily preparing for our large winter shows in Tallmadge and Cleveland and then again in Tallmadge.

Have you ever been to a Skunkfest? We are vending at the annual Skunkfest held at North Ridgeville, Ohio on September 11, 2010. Please access http://www.skunkhaven.net for more info. What works for the dogs works for the skunks, with a few modifications! Come see our line of petwear (2 and 4 legged jammies), glitzy "ruffs", and awesome crate mats. We'll have our "Bandanas for a Buck" (scarves which attach to the collar). They come in 5 sizes, and all are only "one dollah" each. :) Stock up now, as these will only be available at select shows.

Crate mat madness!

Our little fingers are working as fast as we can to make gorgeous crate mats for your dogs! If you come to the shows at Tallmadge, you will find many 100 size mats at great prices. Our next show is in Canton (McKinley Kennel Club Shows June 12,13)) where we will also feature 200, 300, and 400 sizes.

Our specialty is making mats which are easy on the coats of show dogs and long-haired breeds. Afghans love our satin and polyester quilted mats, and the little fluffy ones like our "hairy", soft colorful mats. We also plan to develop a line of more masculine, hearty mats for the sporting breeds and active dogs.

Please check out our selection at the dog shows. We hope to add some photos to our website in the weeks to come. Thank you for your continuing support of Pammer's Petwear. Soon we will celebrate our 12th anniversary and we could not have done it without you and your dogs!

Great book!

Do you have a friend or family member who is dealing with a sick animal or child? Would you like to help small dog rescue and also receive a great book? If so, check out this wonderful book on http://www.worldofoliver.com/

"Oliver" is a heart-warming story about a rescued dog who is able to live a great life now, with proper medication and love. What about a gift for your favorite veterinarian? This would be an asset to the waiting room! Also, this would be a great book to provide to grandparents as they help teach children the lessons of life.

Welcome 2010

May this be your best year ever--human, doggies, and our environment! Here in Ohio it is bitter cold with lots of snow--no surprise there. Whenever we have milder weather in winter (say in the 40's), we revel in it and hope for more. And once we round the New Year's Day mark, it does seem that there is a light at the end of the winter tunnel. If you are reading this from warmer climes, enjoy your weather. And if you are from the frozen parts of the country, we truly understand!

Thank you to all who have been customers and friends over the last 11 1/2 years! Pammer's Petwear began as a vehicle by which to sell simple cotton scarves and raise money for an all-breed rescue group. We have expanded into a business which includes a myriad of handcrafted products made by local entrepreneurs! Our mission to support rescue is still very viable, and without your continued loyalty we could not continue to help the animals in need. Thank you.

Our dog show presence will be delayed until at least May, 2010, as Phyllis will have some ankle surgery. In the "down time" there will hopefully be some new products and creative ideas brewing for the remainder of the year. Stay tuned to the blog to keep abreast of these. Orders will still be processed from the website, though turn-around time may vary, depending on the order. Thanks for your patience.
